There are days in your life that shape the way you think, in an amazingly positive way, relative to personal experiences and thought patterns you have learned in the past. Without question, the people that we have met and interacted with here in southern Alabama have been so wonderfully kindhearted and deeply genuine, it has absolutely warmed our hearts. We visited Fairhope, Alabama today, located on the magnificent Mobile Bay. The town which was discovered in 1519 and settled in 1702, is filled with rich history. It is stunningly beautiful, situated on bluffs high above the bay, with majestic live oak trees lining the streets. The architecture and preservation of the historic downtown area and upscale homes were magnificent, with every estate different than the next. As mentioned, the people are tremendously friendly, capturing and embracing the southern warmth and charm you hear about. Fairhope is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and impressive places I have ever been. Put it on your bucket list, you will be happy you did!!!!!
Big Daddy’s Grill – Fairhope, Mississippi (March 1 – 2, 2019)
Big Daddy’s Grill respresented our first time using Boondocker’s Welcome, which is a website geared toward RV’rs traveling the US, looking for a free and unique place to stay. There are many private properties, restaurants, museums, and other unique venues that offer thier properties to travelers for a nominal yearly membership fee. We were blown away by the hospitality that Bid Daddy’s owner Jason, and his staff bestowed upon us. We had a fantastic view and it was a wonderful town to explore!
