Silver Springs State Park – Ocala, Florida (Silver River, Kayak, Wildlife, Bill & Betty Ann) February 16, 2020

Today Anna and I KAYAKED with two new wonderful friends, Bill and Betty Ann, down the stunningly gorgeous SILVER RIVER located within the SILVER SPRINGS STATE PARK in OCALA, FLORIDA. The river is pristine blue, lined by impressive cypress trees, and fed by the natural class 1 rated SILVER SPRING. We KAYAKED 5.4 MILES down the river on a beautiful sunshine-filled day, witnessing the untouched nature of “OLD FLORIDA”. We viewed impressive wildlife along our path, including a troop of MONKEYS covering the tree limbs next to and above us, countless ALLIGATORS, one massive beast no less than 14 FEET in length, a wide variety of BIRDS, TURTLES everywhere, and a quite impressive SNAKE on a tree limb. The pictures tell the story. This is a must see place to visit for all those who love getting out in nature!!

Prescott, Arizona – Lake Watson Park (Kayaking the Granite Dells) April 20, 2019

We traveled from Tucson to PRESCOTT, ARIZONA yesterday to visit my cousin LINDA HARRIS and her family and enjoy the beautiful area for a few days. Prescott is an historic, bustling, well preserved town, located at 5,367 FEET ELEVATION and is surrounded by mountains in every direction. We had a wonderful breakfast catching up with Linda and her “sweetheart,” Alan, this morning, and we also look forward to visiting with them again tomorrow for Easter.  Afterward breakfast, Anna and I went KAYAKING for 2 ½ hours on the stunningly beautiful LAKE WATSON within the so-called, amazing “GRANITE DELLS” area of Prescott. The unique mountain lake, surrounded by the most interesting and unique mountain rock formations, was absolutely beautiful. We traversed through and around the lake, and through many stand-alone structures, coves, and river heads. This was one our most wonderful and peaceful days ever. Once again, God’s creation is beyond awe-inspiring!!!!!
