Coyote Point Recreation Area – San Mateo, California (San Francisco, Marin County, Bob & Karen Sick) July 9 – 15, 2019

For the last seven days, we have been camping at the COYOTE POINT RECREATION CENTER in SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, right on the beautiful SAN FRANCISCO BAY. It was recognized as the 2008 “BEST OF THE BEST” recreation areas in the San Francisco Bay area. We have had clear views of the bay front shoreline; also of downtown SAN FRANCISCO, the BAY BRIDGE, OAKLAND and the SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT to the north; and the SAN MATEO BRIDGE and the golden hills of PALO ALTO and PORTOLA VALLEY to the south and east. What a beautiful place to camp near San Francisco, with terrific access to all destinations. Within the park there are dozens of hiking trails to explore, it is a windsurfing paradise with the constant winds that prevail, and is a picnic and family fun haven. The cliff views from the southern section of the park, near the marina, were fabulous, especially as large aircraft flew over our heads toward the airport. All in all, a great place to call home while you are in San Francisco!!!!!!
