For the last seven days we have been in the depths of the OCALA NATIONAL FOREST adjacent OCALA, FLORIDA, camping at the LAKE OKLAWAHA KOA northeast of FORT McCOY, FLORIDA. We spent a fabulous evening with our very dear friends, COLIN & DIANNE DATE, catching up with them after their relatively recent move to Ocala. Also, a year ago we met a wonderful couple, RUSS & THERESA THOMPSON, from Ohio, who we now call great friends, on our maiden RV journey starting in Ocala. We have also spent wonderful times with new friends that we were introduced to through the Thompson’s:, namely Bill & Betty Ann Kiester (MI), Bruce & Cindy Wright (PA), Mary Joughin (OH), and Scott & Audrey Kennedy (Ontario). We had a fabulous time canoeing the SILVER RIVER in SILVER SPRINGS STATE PARK with the Kiester’s, an awesome time with the Thompson’s and Wright’s off-roading through the national forest, and many great camp fire experiences with our friends. This could not have been a better follow-up to our RV RALLY in LIVE OAK, FLORIDA last week!!!!!!
